Seek first the Kingdom of God.
We are almost at the end of our time of prayer and fasting. I hope you are doing well and that you have experienced these past few days as encouraging. Today I want to share something with you about your purpose here on earth. God has a plan for your life and shows us this plan a couple of times in the Bible.
One of these purposes is found in Mark 16:15:
Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
But how do you do that with the world full of restrictions and social distancing? How can you go into the world? I can imagine that you might feel discouraged and that you’re wondering what you could possibly do for Jesus right now. Well my answer is: A LOT! Also in your restricted surroundings, you can share the Gospel of the Kingdom and share about Jesus. In your neighbourhood you can be the hands and feet of Jesus. Bake a cake for no reason for your neighbours or offer to walk your friend’s dog when he has to homeschool the kids. A small offer of help can make a huge difference!
Maybe you are thinking: Yeah, but I never have those opportunities in my life, where do I even start? Well, that answer is found in Matthew 6:33:
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
If you take a step in prayer and ask God if He can open a door, He will. And you may obey in faith and follow His ways. In this pandemic, where something is changing every weak. You may fully trust in the fact that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. And that what He says in his Word, is the truth.
Be blessed and let’s end strong tomorrow!
