Heart for the House 2023

Get ready for IMPACT! Above and beyond our regular tithes and offerings, our church family annually invests in a couple of projects that the Lord has put on our hearts as a church and as a leadership.

We call this the Heart for the House campaign. Projects can vary from missions to local, worldwide  projects or investing in our own locations. A great example of a project we did two years ago was the corn-soya-blend factory in Zimbabwe. Curious to see how things are going with that? Click here to watch that video.

Four times per year we put a special focus on Heart for the House, in accordance with the Biblical calendar: in the spring around the feasts of Passover and Unleavened Bread (Easter) and Shavuot (Feast of Weeks / Pentecost), in the fall around Sukkot (Feast of Booths / Tabernacles) and in the winter around Christmas.

God gives special direction for the feasts of Unleavened Bread, Shavuot and Sukkot in Deuteronomy 16:16. His people “shall not appear before the LORD empty-handed”.

Our Heart for the House campaign is a great way to live out this scripture practically.

In the right column you can specify your donation, and be sure to check the Heart for the House box. You can also set up a wire transfer to:

Giving goals

This year we want to support three goals with our Christmas offering. Here is a short overview of what those goals are.

Investing in our own building

We are looking to upgrade the outside patio, to make it more inviting and greener. But moreover, we want to create a safe and fun place again for all children of our Church family and our visitors to play and have joy

Investing in the other

We are also looking to establish a collaboration with De Schuilplaats (The Shelter), which is a professional pastoral organization. So that way, we can strengthen the care we give to our church family

Investing in our own building

Creating a nice sitting area in our coffee corner including a new set of plants

Investing in the other

Add onto our diaconate funds and sharing a part of our proceeds to interdenominational initiative ‘HOI’ (Huizen Ontmoet Interkerkelijk)

Investing in missions

This year we want to extend our generosity to Tikkun Global in Jerusalem. The name Tikkun means ‘Restoration’ in Hebrew. With what is happening in Israel right now, we felt it was the right choice to support their ministry and all their hands-on serving there. Here is a video that may help you understand their vision better.
